Worst GW Experiance Thread

Honestly, I think everything from Factions on started to destroy the game that could have lived long with stability were it not for the ungodly amounts of nerfings and rebuilding they did to it. HA became 6vs6, SR became timed... I've had plenty of experiences I disliked within the lifespan of my Guild Wars account. A few of them caused me to quit for long periods of time.

Had something similar to that when i was doing THK HM with some of DVDF a few days ago. Was going fine. Enemy outside drops a gold. So someone goes to head out to get it, monk goes to PS him... then it freezes. Bit later... disconnect, reconnect. Moment i reconnect... so do 5 other members of the team (at least). 4 of us are dead, 2 of them outside the fort and the others are struggling to stay alive. I don't have a f*cking clue how but somehow we survived the mass disconnect and went on to complete it :S

My worst GW experience was probably the release of Factions up to present.

Getting a Gold Colossal drop after 5 days of farming Moddock only for it to be non-max.

Hard mode is one of the best things that ever happened to Guild Wars, bro!

Its not so much hard mode itself, vanquishing, etc would be fun. Its the other changes that came along with it. I am new to the game, I have a Warrior right now and a ranger coming up. Hard Mode seems to have become a 55 farming monopoly which just sucks.

3 words: "cookie cutter noobs"

Back a while ago I was in the guild [syko] which is known for running FOTM and cookie cutters...kind of makes me out of place since I like to be creative. One day we were gonna run ranger spike and use the generally accepted Glass arrows cookie cutter build. Beforehand I ran a test with Forked arrow, Quick shot - savage, and found it did more spike damage at a faster rate.

So I take some guildies to balthazar to show them that its better, and this is what the leader of syko says "Well it does spike better but everyone else is using glass arrows so its better we just keep running whats accepted." WTF ?!?!? Seriously ! Cookie cutter scrubs sometimes act like they dont even know were good builds come from in the first place.

Only thing good about the experiance was two days later I was joke kicked along with a few other members by one of the 17 guild officers ( All but one of which were immature morons. ) and he said we would let us back in if we paid the 100g. I laughed and said the guild wasnt worth 100g, and the tard realized that he just lost one of the most versatile players in the guild. so after a while he offers to pay me 500g to get back in. LAWL ( I didnt accept it ). The others who were joke kicked didnt rejoin either.

[sYkO] = n00bs. if you see them in HA be sure to laugh. Easy win too since the only members left are scrubs. Anyone worth anything has pretty much left last time I checked.

Mine was today and coulda been my best experiance;

this weekend is ideal for 2nd tier survivor title with the xp caps, unfortunatly my rit which i wanted survivor was still on shing jea. So i set myself a challenge to get her off the island in time for event.
I have had many unfortunate times when gettin the title with my rit and had to restart many times over the past year or so. This time i got annoyed, i left it afk and thought id be ok but nooooo. i got killed somehow.

So i remade my rit yesterday and did very well for myself . Today i got off shing jea lvl 18 , 123,000xp and ready to get my title. Ready for the weekend event.
BUTTTT NOOOO!! running to keineng i got ambushed even thou i took the western side and bought henchie team! I thought i did relaly well gettin so much xp over short amount of time. Didnt run thru missions or train myself
I dunno whether ill try again as its so depressing when u loose it

Like you I also got survivor for my rit today... Also like you my worst experience was trying to get survivor with my first rit.

I had got to lvl 17 and was formed a group for 'an unwelcome guest' quest. It was then when I discovered the lvl 20 MM was an idiot; we weren't in the best group to begin with anyway Died! thankfully with out much minions so we manged to kill the flesh golem. So in my noob group stuff happened and people died, and people where getting fed up. So this moron decided to stand in the degen zone with 10 minions... Killing us all.

Dieing form your own fault is a harsh leaning curve; dieing from others incompetence is well....
The worst part about it is that a good MM could practically solo this area.

That day I logged in and saw that Paragons were nerfed. Well... okay, so that's more of a daily event since the launch of nightfall...

worst single moment? less than 1000xp from survivor rank 2, working towards gate of madness, and I die due to a lag-out and client crash.
